Test drive
by test
Mark was thrilled to test drive the sleek, black sports car heβd spotted online. The dealer warned him, βJust a quick spin around the block.β Eager, Mark took the keys and sped off.
As he drove, the streets grew unfamiliar, twisting into shadows and fog. The radio crackled with whispers, βTurn backβ¦ donβt trust the car.β He laughed nervously, thinking it was a prank.
Suddenly, the carβs headlights flickered, revealing a pale figure in the rearview mirrorβeyes hollow, mouth twisted in a silent scream. Mark slammed the brakes, but the car accelerated on its own, racing down a road that wasnβt on any map.
The engine roared louder, the figure reaching closer, until Mark woke up in the driverβs seat, heart pounding. The dealer was gone. The carβs door wouldnβt open. And the whispers from the radio promised, βThe test drive never ends.β
